Five Nighthawks Garner Awards at PBC Banquet

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Five University of North Georgia players were given awards at the Peach Belt Conference’s tournament banquet Thursday night, highlighted by Carl Ludwig Eriksson winning the Elite 15 Award.

Eriksson is the fourth UNG student-athlete to win the award and it is the sixth time that North Georgia has brought home an Elite 15 Award.

Three Nighthawks were named to the All-Conference first team with Daniel Bennett being named as a defender, Matt Sharman as the goalkeeper and Ivan Acimovic as an At-Large pick. Gabriel Garcia was named to the second team as a midfielder.

North Georgia will take on second-seeded Young Harris tomorrow night at Blanchard Woods Park in Evans, Georgia. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.
