Janet Lynn Palmer, age 57, of Dahlonega passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015 at her residence following a period of declining health.
Born in Hall County on March 3, 1958 to parents, Vernon C. “V.C.” and Pearl Todd Palmer, Janet was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, Janet is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Dan Walls, of Dahlonega; aunts, Louise Mixon and Mary Palmer; uncle, Marion (Cindy) Todd; nieces and nephews, David Walls of Norcross, Amanda and Daniel Wilhelm of Acworth and Todd Walls of Athens; great niece, Allyson Wilhelm of Acworth; and special friend, Belinda Hansard.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 18, 2015 in the chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home with Rev. William Hutcheson and Rev. Stephen Gerrells officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
