Mr. ZV Major, Jr. : Obituary

ZV Major, Jr., age 90, a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County passed away on September 17, 2016.

ZV was the son of the late Zeb Vance Major, Sr. and Lula Mae Garner Major. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Bertie Mae Watson Major; brothers and sisters, Eugene Major, “Cat” Clarence Major, Adele Gooch, Ethel Fitts, Grapel Major, and Naomi Major; sons-in-law, Carlton Eugene Butler and Jim Raines; and grandson, Carlton Shawn Butler.

ZV is survived by his daughters, Pam Major and Betty Raines; son, Johnny Major; sister and brother-in-law, Mabel and Donald Bryan; and grandson, Raymond Raines. Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for ZV are scheduled for Monday September 19, 2016 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Chris Bryan, Lyn Cantrell, and Eddie Mounce will officiate.

A private interment will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Monday September 19, 2016 from 12 Noon to 3 PM.
