Nellie Mae Hope: Obituary

Nellie Mae Hope, age 68, a lifelong resident of Dahlonega, GA passed away on Friday November 4, 2016.

Nellie was born on June 30, 1948 in Dahlonega, GA.  She was a member of Yahoola Baptist Church.  She enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family.

Nellie was the daughter of the late H.M. and Annabelle Rice Brown.  She is also preceded in death by her brother, Hoyt Brown; sister, Geneva Millsap and daughter, Tereasa Blackwell.

Nellie is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Jeff Gee and Ina and David Wise; brother, Edward Brown all of Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Brittany Hornsby, Karren Gee, Lamar Gee, Amanda Hope, Jeri Ann Holder, Paul Smith, Truman Cantrell, Josh, Randul and Brandi Budai, Bryson Williams, Brenda Mae Gee, and Franklin Albert Gee; great-grandchildren, Brianne and Adalynn Hornsby, Christian Henson, Connor and Andrew Ellington, Kasen Budai, Makenzie Budai, and Elizabeth Nicole Holder.

Funeral services for Nellie are scheduled for 3 PM Wednesday November 9, 2016 at Yahoola Baptist Church.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell and Rev. Jonathan Fitzpatrick will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Yahoola Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Tuesday November 8, 2016 from 3 PM to 9 PM and again on Wednesday November 9, 2016 from 10 AM until time of service.
