Velma S. Williams, age 67, of Lula, GA passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017.
She enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing, and loved “yard selling”; and also enjoyed reading and mystery TV.
Velma was the daughter of the late Andrew and Thelma Bruce Simonds. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Williams; and son, Hulen Hawkins.
Velma is survived by her daughters, Crystel Holsey, Lula, GA, Patricia Bass, Loganville, GA, Melissa Hawkins Cleveland, GA; brother, AJ Simonds, Toccoa, GA; sisters, Kathleen Sullens, Dahlonega, GA, Ruby Hawkins, Cleveland, GA; grandchildren, Gage Holsey, Hunter Holsey, Kirsten Holsey, Cameron Freeman, Gary Dyer, Nichela Dyer, Kevin Dyer, Tequila Pope, Miranda McCormick, Michael McCormick; Nicolas Hawkins, Nicole Hawkins, and 7 great-grandchildren. Numerous other relatives also survive.
Memorial services for Velma are scheduled for 1 PM Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Friendship Baptist Church in Cleveland, GA.
Rev. Joey Pritchett will officiate.
