Mrs. Bertha Mae Pruitt Stover: Obituary

Bertha Mae Pruitt Stover, age 94, a lifelong resident of Suches, GA passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017.

Bertha Mae deeply loved her children and husband of 73 years.  She loved to recount the history of the community and could always make the connection of who was related and how.  We will miss her dearly.

She was the daughter of the late William Mac and Elizabeth Rebecca Abercrombie Pruitt.  Bertha Mae was also preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Bertha Mae is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Sidney Stover; children, Laverne & Joe Harper, Clermont, GA, Bobby and Chatty Stover, Suches, GA, Marvin and Mary Stover, Dahlonega, GA, Stan and Judy Stover, Cleveland, GA, Sue Adams and Steve Henderson, Opelika, AL, Jack Stover, Gainesville, GA, Lela and David Perry, Cleveland, GA, Teresa Dyer and Karl Hawk, Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Phillip Kemp, Joseph Stover, Jason Stover, Leanne Stover, Rodney Veatch, Brooke McCutcheon, Beth Forrester, Jonathan Stover, Thomas Stover, Scott Stover, Tania Lightesy, John Lee, Jenny Anderson, Chris Adams, Spencer Stover, Les Fuller, Lance Fuller, Weston Fuller, Leah Billiter, Cameron Dyer; 44 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.  Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Bertha Mae are scheduled for 1 PM Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Suches, GA.

Rev. Clarence Drummonds, Rev. Les Fuller, and Rev. Lance Fuller will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 5 PM to 8 PM.  Bertha Mae will also lie in state at the church from 12:30 PM until service time.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Suches Volunteer Fire Department or Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
