Christine Opal Grizzle: Obituary

Christine Opal Grizzle, age 78, of Dahlonega, GA passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and wife.  She also loved being outside, looking at flowers and garden.  Jasmine, her poodle was her best friend.

Christine was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lillie Ray Edge.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Grizzle; daughter, Shelia Grizzle.

Christine is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Wanda and David Mabry, Dahlonega, GA; Sherrie Norrell, Dahlonega, GA; brother, Arnold Edge, NC; grandchildren, Aireyll and Joe Simmons, Heath and Brandy Christy, Wyatt Norrell, Bailee Norrell; great-grandchildren, Dustin Simmons, Justin Simmons, Dustin Christy, and Ashlyn Christy.  Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Christine are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, March 13, 2017 at Concord Baptist Church.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 5 PM to 9 PM, Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 10 AM to 9 PM, and again on Monday, March 13, 2017 from 10 AM to 1 PM.
