Mr. William Rutherford Cason: Obituary

William Rutherford Cason, age 78 of Dahlonega, GA passed away on March 15, 2017 following a short illness.

Bill was born in Sandersville Georgia. He graduated from North Fulton HS in 1956. He served in the Navy for 4 years on the destroyer USS Hanson. He graduated from Oglethorpe University in 1966. Bill loved UGA football, Genealogy, and old movies. He was a member of Berea Baptist Church. Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

Mr. Cason is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Anne Harp Cason; son and daughter in law Chris Cason and Dana Cason of Columbia SC; son and daughter in law Andy and Lisa Cason of Dawsonville, GA; and grandsons Will Cason, Nate Cason, Sean Cason, and Jacob Cason.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, March 18th at Berea Baptist Church. Interment will follow the service at Dahlonega Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the Dahlonega Funeral Home on Friday, March 17th from 6 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Berea Baptist Church Building Fund.
