Mr. Charles Tillman Satterfield: Obituary

Charles Tillman Satterfield, age 87, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017.

Charles was born April 8, 1930 to Grover Cleveland Satterfield and Bessie Mae Christian Satterfield.

Charles worked at the Dahlonega Post Office for over 30 years. He grew up on the family farm and continued the tradition of farming. He loved the outdoors and traveling. His hobby was antiques and he was especially interested in antique tractors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vashti Holtzclaw Satterfield; brother, William Satterfield,; and sister, Sarah Satterfield Moore.

Charles is survived by his two children, Charles Timothy Satterfield and Grova Lynn Satterfield, both of Dahlonega, GA. He is also survived by his brother, Tommy Frank Satterfield and his wife, Linda. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Charles are scheduled for 3 PM Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell and Rev. Phillip Martin will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Satterfield Family Cemetery in Dahlonega, GA.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 1 PM until 3 PM.
