David “Yank” DeMark, Jr. : Obituary

David “Yank” DeMark, Jr., age 47, of Dahlonega, GA passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017.

He was everyone’s hero.  His world revolved around his grandchildren.

Yank is survived by his loving wife, Lorrie DeMark; sons and daughters-in-law, Corkey and Megan Reece, Dahlonega, GA, James and Ashley Reece, Dahlonega, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Celea and TJ Gosdin, Cleveland, GA, Michayla and Michael Flanagan, Cleveland, GA, Tabitha DeMark, Pennsylvania; mother, Dianne DeMark, Rochester, NY; sister and brother-in-law, Robin Ann and Mike Rivero, NY and 15 grandchildren.  Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for David are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Joey Smith will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 5 PM to 9 PM, all day on Sunday, June 4, 2017 and again on Monday. June 5, 2017 from 10 AM until time of service.
