Ms. Homerell White Parks: Obituary

Ms. Homerell White Parks, age 86, of Clermont, GA, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health.

A native of Clermont, she was born to parents Homer and Una Abercrombie White on December 12, 1930. Homerell was retired from the Northeast Georgia Medical Center where she worked in the administration department. She was of the Baptist faith having most recently attended Mossy Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Homerell was preceded in death by a son, Donald Parks, sisters; Edith Couch and Edna Barrett, and brother; Travis “Bill” White. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Daniel and Joann Parks, Cumming, daughter and son-in-law; Joyce and Pat Link, Gainesville, sister; Wanda Parks, Murrayville, brother and sister-in-law; Leon and Ruth White, Clermont, grandchildren; Jolie Scordino, Cumming, Matt Link, Augusta, GA, April Akin, Clermont, Heidi Pritchett, Murrayville. Eight great grandchildren and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in the chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Bowen, Rev. Les Fuller officiating. Interment to follow in the Wahoo Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 11th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on the day of service from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
