James Alan Mitchell: Obituary

Mr. James Alan Mitchell, age 82, of Dahlonega passed away Monday, March 26, 2018.

Mr. Mitchell was born in Harrison, OH on March 4, 1936. He was preceeded in death by his mother Esther Mitchell and daughter Debra Dru Mitchell Heaton.  Mr. Mitchell served his country honorably with a full career in the communications field in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Jonell Mitchell, Dahlonega; son Harold Gene Mitchell, Panama City, FL; sister Arlene; and several other relatives.

A time of remembrance for Mr. Mitchell is scheduled for 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Friday, March 30, 2018 at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the Debra Heaton Scholarship Fund, 2001 Indian Drive, Dahlonega, GA 30533.
