UNG men’s soccer walks away with 3-0 win over USC Aiken

According to a press release from the University of North Georgia Athletic Department, the UNG men’s soccer team defeated the University of South Carolina, Aiken in a 3-0 win on Saturday, October 20, at the UNG Soccer Complex.
UNG senior, Alex Grant, scored twice during the match. UNG senior, Matt Sharman, had four saves, as the Nighthawks earned its first clean sheet of the season.
The USC Aiken Pacers started strong during the opening, but the Nighthawks still found the first goal afternoon in the 27th minute. UNG junior, Prince Domafriyie, settled the ball just inside the 18-yard box and found the far post past the USCA keeper to put UNG up, 1-0.
UNG held onto that lead for the next 40 minutes before Grant found his first goal on a bad clearance by the Pacer defense. Six minutes later, Gabriel Garcia touched the ball to Grant who pushed the ball into the net past the goalie to bring the match to its final score.
