John Gibson: Obituary

Mr. John Gibson, age 81, of Dahlonega passed away Friday, November 29, 2019.

Mr. Gibson was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 2, 1938 to the late Leonard and Myrtle Butler Gibson.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years Imogene Gibson.  John worked in the poultry industry for many years.  He was a member of Nimblewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his brother Jim Gibson, Texas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Junior and Kathy Stover, Dahlonega; his special niece Tammy Stover, Dahlonega; and Glenda and Perry Weaver and his family at Foothills Retirement Home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home.  The Rev. Mickey Wheeler will officiate.  Interment will follow in Nimblewill Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 until the hour of the service Sunday at the funeral home.
