Mr. Edward Brown, age 69, of Dahlonega passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020.
Mr. Brown was born in Lumpkin County on October 31, 1950 to the late H.M. and Annie Bell Milsap Brown. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Martha Brown, brother Hoyt Brown, and sisters Nellie Hope and Geneva Milsap. Mr. Brown loved old cars and attending car shows. He loved riding back roads, hiking, and walking in the park. An old western and a fishing trip or camping trip was a favorite pastime of his. Mr. Brown loved his grandkids who affectionately called him “Poppa”.
Survivors include his sons James Brown, Gainesville, and Michael Brown, Dahlonega; son and daughter-in-law Matthew and Mackenzie Brown; grandchildren Emily Brown, Alex Brown, and Austin Brown.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Yahoola Baptist Church. The Rev. Kris Butler will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
