LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga. – A Dahlonega man was killed and another man seriously injured in a crash Thursday (June 18) on Hwy. 9 South near Clay Creek Falls Road.
According a report by Lumpkin County Coroner Jim Sheppard, Bobby Euvne Chaffin, 68, of Dahlonega was driving south on Hwy. 9 when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a concrete embankment. Mr. Chaffin and the unidentified passenger were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville where Mr. Chaffin was pronounced dead at 7:30 a.m. Friday (June 19).
It is not known at this time is a toxicology test was performed.
