Dahlonega man charged with battery

LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga. — Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 50-year-old Dahlonega man on a charge of simple battery following a domestic violence incident on Crown Mountain Drive last week.

Gregorio Robles was transported to the Lumpkin County Detention Center after he allegedly struck his wife with a mop handle and sprayed her in the face with insect spray during an argument.

Emily Lima, 38, said her husband became angry and jealous during the argument and struck her in the leg with the mop handle. Deputies observed and photographed a large red mark on her leg and, after hearing some inconsistencies in Robles account of the incident, handcuffed him and transported him to the detention center.
