The Lumpkin Co. Indians defeated the North Hall Trojans 61-53 at home on Friday night. Junior Jones Harris led the Indians in scoring with 20 points. Senior Chandler Pulley also chipped in 15 points for Lumpkin Co. and senior Gus Faulkner scored 12 points.

The Indians led 34-31 after a competitive first half. Harris had a hot-shooting first half for the Indians, scoring 15 points and hitting three 3-pointers.

Down 53-52 late in the 4th quarter, the Indians scored the final nine points of the game and held on to win 61-53.

Lumpkin Co. will host the Kelly King Holiday Classic next week. Tournament play for them begins Monday at 7 p.m. as they host Cross Keys high school.
