DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. –The manhunt for Dylan Finley ended this morning. He was arrested by Georgia State Patrol and deputies with the Dawson County Sheriff’s near Ga. Hwy 136 and the Etowah River at about 9:15 a.m.
The 27-year-old Finley and 35-year-old Elizabeth Anglin fled from a traffic stop Thursday evening. Anglin was arrested at the scene but Finley made his way into the woods and kept authorities searching throughout the night.
Lumpkin County Sheriff Stacy Jarrard posted an alert on his Facebook page Thursday warning residents in the area to lock their doors while authorities searched for Finlay, who they believed to be armed and dangerous.
Jarrard said authorities had been on the lookout for Finley since Wednesday when they believed he was headed to Lumpkin County. Lumpkin County deputies along with Georgia State Patrol spotted him and made the stop.
Jarrard said law enforcement confiscated two plastic bags containing nearly two kilos of methamphetamine during the initial traffic stop. Finley face multiple traffic charges. He and Anglin also face a charge of trafficking methamphetamine.
