Lumpkin County ready to celebrate 4th of July with parade and fireworks

DAHLONEGA Ga. – After a year of being shut inside due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Americans are ready to cut loose and celebrate America’s 245 birthday on the Fourth of July.

Lumpkin County residents will enjoy a three-day celebration. On Friday, July 2, there will be a free concert at Hancock Park starting at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday a patriotic parade will roll through town.

The celebration concludes with a brilliant fireworks display at Iron Mountain Park.
