The Indians jumped out to an early lead and never looked back on Monday night, scoring 3 runs in the top of the first before going on to beat Gilmer 6-2.

Marvaez toed the rubber for Lumpkin, lasting all 7 innings while allowing 5 hits and 2 runs and striking out 7.

Gilmer had trouble in the field, committing 4 errors on the day.

We will see these two back on the diamond 2 more times this week, as the region foes have a home and home on Wednesday and Friday.
