Dahlonega man sentenced to life in prison

HABERSHAM COUNTY, Ga. — A Dahlonega man was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole last week after being convicted of the malice murder of a Habersham County woman two years ago.

Jeramy Chastain, 32, was sentenced in Habersham County Superior Court by Judge Russel Smith.

Chastain was arrested in Clarkesville within hours after his girlfriend Alecia Stover was found beaten to death in her burned out rental home.
