UNG Cross Country Invitational set Friday

OAKWOOD – The University of North Georgia women’s cross country team is set to host the 10th Annual UNG XC Invitational Friday evening on the Gainesville campus at the UNG Cross Country Course. In total, 14 women’s teams and 10 men’s teams will participate in the event.

North Georgia will compete against the likes of Agnes Scott, Albany State, Brenau, Clark Atlanta, Clayton State, Covenant, Life, North Georgia, Piedmont, SCAD Atlanta, Shorter, Welch, Voorhees, and Young Harris in the 5K race.

Clark Atlanta, Clayton State, Covenant, Life, Morehouse, Piedmont, Shorter, Welch, Voorhees, and Young Harris will compete for the 8K men’s title.

UNG has won the event six out of the nine years it has hosted, including last year. Piedmont is the only school on the men’s side to have won the event.

5:35 p.m. – Men report to start line
5:45 p.m. – Men’s 8K race – LIVE RESULTS
6:20 p.m. – Women report to start line
6:30 p.m. – Women’s 5K race – LIVE RESULTS
7:00 p.m. – Awards ceremony
