Hart County Bulldogs @ Lumpkin County Indians

After a slow start, Lumpkin County would find their stride as the Indians would go on to win 30-10 over the Hart County Bulldogs. Lumpkin held a 7-3 lead at the half, but thanks to a dominant second half showing, the Indians would win rather handily. Lumpkin County finished non-region play with a 4-0 record as they scorched every opponent. Their average margin of victory stands at 27.8 points with their offense never tallying less than 30 points.

Game Notes

Mason Sullens dominated as he always does but this week his QB, Cal Faulkner, would be the one leading the Indians in total offense. Faulker finished 11/16 for 69 yards and added another 88 yards on the ground. Sullens would record four touchdowns and 119 yards on 22 carries. Sr. WR Luke Evans led the Lumpkin receivers with 46 yards on six catches. Sr. LB Will Wood led the defense with eight tackles while the defense would record one interception, six pass deflections and three sacks.

Neither Maxpreps nor Hudl had individual stats posted for Hart County at the time of this article.

Looking Ahead

Hart County falls to 1-3 on the season and will take on the 3-1 Cross Creek Razorbacks this Friday. As for the Indians, they will begin region play looking like the team to beat as they travel to Pickens County to take on the 1-3 Dragons.
