Dawsonville, GA- It was a sweet, sweet night to be a Lumpkin County Indian last Friday. A night of broken losing streaks, new winning streaks, and Region Championships.
Coming into Friday’s game vs Dawson, Lumpkin County had not beaten the Tigers in Dawsonville since 1998, had mever won more than 8 games in a season, and had never won a region championship in program history.
All of those things are no longer true.
Lumpkin moved to a perfect 9-0 on the season with a 34-23 victory over the Dawson County Tigers, and secured the Region 7AAA championship in the process.
Led by star quarterback Cal Faulkner, the Indians racked up nearly 400 yards of total offense in their 11 point victory.
Lumpkin will look to cap off their perfect regular season on Friday night @ West Hall, and then they will await the GHSA Playoff Brackets to see who they will host in round 1.
