Martha Frances French: Obituary

Obituaries

Frances French was born on March 22, 1941, in Eclectic, Alabama, and passed away peacefully on February 10, 2020.  She was the youngest child of the late Jason and Lucille Johnson.  Frances lived in Eclectic until her meeting of and marriage to the love of her life, Harry French. In May of 1962, the newly married couple embarked upon a journey that would last fifty-eight years.  During this time they welcomed two children, Shannon and Mark, into the world.  They moved 17 times in twenty-three years of marriage.  In the summer of 1978, they moved to Dahlonega.  Out of all the places they had lived, it was Dahlonega they chose to call home.

Frances was an active member of Dahlonega Baptist Church, where she served for nearly 40 years, until her declining health would no longer allow her to do so.  Frances enjoyed nearly every craft imaginable and treasured spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Harry, son Mark, daughter Shannon French (Russ) Perkins, and grandchildren Sophia Perkins, Sam Perkins, Annabelle Perkins, sister Daisy Adams and countless friends.

By those who knew her, she will be remembered as a faithful follower of Christ, devoted wife, loving mother, doting grandmother, loyal friend and an amazing woman.

Leigh Ana Alatorre: Obituary

Our sweet Leigh Ana Alatorre departed this life much too quickly on February 2, 2020 to go be with Jesus.  Everyone who knew Leigh Ana knew her to be very witty, funny, and silly to be around.  She was a charming young woman with a true zest for life and a big heart.  She had the ability to make you smile and laugh by telling silly jokes and stories, sharing funny videos or just being a drama queen.  Leigh Ana enjoyed being the center of attention when she was spending time with friends and family to create lasting memories.  She was also known as the mediator to her family by keeping things light and jovial.  Leigh Ana’s greatest achievement and gift to this life is her eleven month old daughter Juniper Louise, whom she loved and cherished every moment they had together.
