Mrs. Susan Marie Bagwell Massey, age 65, of Dahlonega passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Susan was born May 1, 1951 in Savannah, Georgia to parents James and Opal Hodges Bagwell. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
Susan is survived by her husband, Kurt Wayne Massey and children; Kyle (Ruby) Griffin of Dahlonega, Eric (Heather) Griffin of Dawsonville. Jessie Massey of Dahlonega, grandchildren; Matthew Griffin, Dawson, Kristopher Griffin, Dahlonega, Kierstyn Griffin, Dahlonega, and Katie Ann Griffin of Dawson.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 in the chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the service time.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the family to offset medical expenses.
