Mrs. Jennifer Leigh Bergert age forty two of Little Mtn. Rd. Dahlonega passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 28, 2016 surrounded by her loving family in the North East GA Medical Center following a battle with cancer. Jennifer was born on Nov. 8, 1973 in Riverdale, GA., the daughter of Linda Kay Murphy. She was a loving and caring fiancé, daughter sister and aunt. She always enjoyed helping others in need. She loved riding motorcycle with her fiancé, Matt. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Dewey and Mary Murphy and an uncle Larry Murphy. Jennifer was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Jennifer are her loving fiancé’ and best friend, Matt Thoroman of Dahlonega, mother and father, Linda and Bill Slade of Young Harris, grandparents, brother and sister in law, Adrian and Jennifer Hogsed of Young Harris, nieces and nephews, Ruth and Bill Slade of Miami, nieces and nephews, Abeni, Clara, Miaya and Ty Hogsed, aunts and uncles, Jimmy and Diane Fields, Robert and Ruby Murphy and Laura Murphy, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 2, 2016 at 1:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Gary Moss officiating. Special music will be presented by Jennifer Hogsed and Linda Moss. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Mike Wear, Jimmy Fields Jr., Chris Burnette, Brandon Atkinson, Robbie Murphy and Kirt Kimsey. Interment will follow in the Meadow View Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Research in Jennifer’s memory. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Saturday from11-1:00 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
