UNG Graduation Ceremonies Set for Saturday

DAHLONEGA, Ga. — The University of North Georgia will hold two separate graduation ceremonies in Dahlonega Saturday.

At 1 p.m. in Memorial Hall Gymnasium, Dahlonega- and Cumming-based graduates of the College of Health Sciences & Professions, College of Science and Mathematics and Mike Cottrell College of Business.

Former state assistant Attorney General Greg Blount will be the guest speaker. Blount is a leading environmental attorney for more than 30 years and has been active in the Georgia-Florida-Alabama water wars.
The second ceremony will be held at the same venue at 4 p.m. to honor graduates of the College of Education,

University College, and College of Arts & Letters. Dr. Jeff Bearden will be the commencement speaker. Bearden was appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal to serve on the Governor’s Education Advisory Board. He has been a UNG executive for more than 25 years.
