The Lumpkin Board of Commissioners Schedule Special Called Work Session

DAHLONEGA, Ga. — The Lumpkin County Board of Commissioners has scheduled a special called work session for Thursday at 4 p.m. in the County Administration Building, 99 Courthouse Hill. Commissioners will discuss issues to be voted on at the next regular meeting.

This will be the first meeting for Commissioners Bobby Mayfield and David Miller who took the oath of office last week.

Resolutions to be considered include the appointment of:

A member of the Lumpkin County Board of Health to replace outgoing County Commissioner Doug Sherrill;

Representatives to Chestatee-Chattahoochee RC&D Council, Inc.;

Members to the Park & Recreation Citizens Advisory Board;

Members to Joint Development Authority of Dawson, Lumpkin & White Counties;

Member to the Lumpkin County Public Building Authority.
Commissioners will also discuss acceptance of Brookwoods Lane, Brooks Drive, Baker Street and Misty Hollow Drive into county maintenance and a new Local Emergency Operations Plan (LEOP).

Commissioners will also consider a number of contracts and agreements, including roundabout lighting assistance for SR 52 at SR 115/CR 41/Copper Mines Road, SR 9 at SR 52, SR 9 at SR 60.

The county commission is expected to vote on these and other issues at its regular scheduled meeting on Thursday Jan. 12 at 5 p.m.
