Mary Florine Parker: Obituary

Mary Florine Parker, age 91, a lifelong resident of Suches, GA passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017.

Florine was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church for many years.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

Florine was the daughter of the late Norman and Bitha Carder Thomason.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Hastle Parker; son, Larry Parker, Jr.; and three brothers.

Florine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry L. and Marty Parker, Suches, GA; daughters and sons-in-law; Mary Ann and Ed Talley, Newnan, GA, Maggie Brown, Stockbridge, GA, Kathy Coker, Ellenwood, GA, Irene and Greg Stone, Palestine, TX; brother, Jewell Thomason, Fayetteville, GA; 1 granddaughter; 2 grandsons; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter.  Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Florine are scheduled for 11 AM Friday, April 14, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church #2 (The Hill) in Suches, GA.

Rev. William Phillips, Rev. Steve Rhoton, and Rev. Joe Hulsey will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 5 PM to 8:30 PM.  Mrs. Parker will also lie in state at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church #2 (The Hill) thirty minutes prior to service.
