Jewell Earnest Hood age 69 of Dahlonega passed away surrounded by family on April 30, 2017. Jewell was a member of Fortress in Dahlonega, he loved serving his church, serving the Men’s Breakfast at the Baptist Church, singing with the Silver Singers, going to Silver Sneakers and spending time with his children and grandchildren and taking pictures of them.
Mr. Hood is preceded by his parents Fred Hood and Irene Nix Hood, brothers Clyde Hood and Vernon Hood, sisters Francis Armstrong and Wanslie Fulbright.
Jewell was survived by his loving wife Deborah “Sue” Brewster Hood, daughter Teresa Hood Dale, son Jason Hood, brothers Marvin (Joyce) Hood, Jimmy (Nancy) Hood, Charles (Peggy) Hood, sisters Vera Mae Crane and Glenda Parrish, grandchildren, Matthew Hood, Wesley Dale, Hannah Dale, Tiffany Dale Fulton (Chad Fulton), and their father Steve Dale, great grandchild MaKenna Fulton. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
A Life Celebration will be held on Friday May 5, 2017 at 6pm at the Fortress Church in Dahlonega. A light reception will follow.
