Father, Son Arrested in Lumpkin County Drug Bust

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – After a month-long investigation by the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office and agents with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, a father and his son were arrested Monday and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (felony), possession of marijuana (misdemeanor), and possession of a firearms during the commission of a felony (felony).

A search warrant obtained by Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division’s Drug Investigator resulted in the arrest of 48-year-old Stephen Claude Mann and his son Michael Stephen Mann, 24, at 1215 Pink Williams Road. The warrant was the result of an anonymous tip and a traffic stop linking the father and son to trafficking methamphetamine. The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 23 grams of methamphetamine, undetermined quantity of marijuana, guns, scales and other drug paraphernalia.
