Mr. Johnny William Kirk: Obituary

Mr. Johnny William Kirk, age 56, of Dahlonega, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at Northeast GA Medical Center.

Johnny was born on March 9, 1961 in Marietta, GA to the late Augustus Walker and Frances Walden Kirk. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ricky Kirk and Danny Kirk.  Johnny was retired, after 31 years, with The University of North GA as the grounds keeper.  He served in the United States Army Reserve.  Johnny was a member of Anitoch Baptist Church.

Survivors include his brother, Timothy Kirk, Dahlonega; nephew and fiancé, T.J. Kirk and Regina Bruce, Dahlonega; niece, Elisha Rivera, Gainesville; great nieces, Adalyn and Aubrie Kirk, both of Dahlonega; Angelica Rivera, Briana Rivera, Victoria Rivera; great nephews, Julian Rivera, and Nathanial Rivera, all of Gainesville.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Thursday, August 3, 2017 in The Banister Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Clifford Allen will officiate. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-9 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
