Mr. Carl Wesley Jarrard: Obituary

Mr. Carl Wesley Jarrard, age 75, of Dahlonega, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017.

Mr. Jarrard was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County.  He was born on June 18, 1942 to the late Albert and Janie Gerrells Jarrard.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Ray Jarrard; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leon and Ella Ricketts.  Mr. Jarrard was a self-employed heavy equipment operator and farmer. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. Mr. Jarrard was a member of Siloam Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Era Jarrard, Dahlonega; son, Matt Jarrard, Atlanta; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Loy Saine; sister, Ruth Head; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and C.L. Grizzle, Anne and Wayne Grizzle, all of Dahlonega; brothers, James Jarrard and Harold Jarrard; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Valorie Jarrard; all of Dahlonega sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Patricia and Roger Brady, Clermont; sister-in-law, Brandy Jones, Oakwood; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Denver and Doreen Ricketts, Stanton, MI and brother-in-law, Norman Ricketts, Dahlonega.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Banister Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Lyman Caldwell and The Rev. Tony Allison will officiate.  Interment will follow in Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 P.M. Friday and all day Saturday at the funeral home.
