Ms. Tammy Phillips Martin: Obituary

Ms. Tammy Phillips Martin age 56 of Dahlonega passed away on Saturday September 23rd, 2017 after an extended illness.

Born on February 19, 1961 to parents Ann and Hoyt Phillips. Tammy was a native and lifelong resident of Dahlonega and loved her “town”.  She loved the outdoors and working in her yard.  One of her favorite pass time’s was “junking”.  She worked for many years alongside her mother at Mim’s Ice Cream Shop on the square and most recently she enjoyed being a caregiver to children in her home.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, sister; Beverly Wimpy, and nephew Zeb Wimpy. She is survived by her son Jeremy Martin, sisters Jo Phillips of Dahlonega and Cindy Lindsey of Woodville, Texas, as well as her four legged best bud Oscar.

A celebration of life will be held at 5pm on Tuesday September 26, 2017 at 5pm at Cane Creek Baptist Church in Dahlonega with Pastor Jerry Hogwood officiating.
