Mrs. Rosanne Dobruck: Obituary

Mrs. Rosanne Dobruck, age 77, of Dahlonega, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017.

Mrs. Dobruck, fondly known as “Roz” was born and raised in the small town of Herkimer, New York on June 29, 1940 to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Raymonda Grande. She eventually fled to warmer weather in Florida where she raised four beautiful daughters.  In the 1990’s she and her husband visited the North Georgia Mountains and she quickly fell in love with Dahlonega. She and her husband have been residents ever since, and started a local company known as Dobruck Construction.  Roz was a strong and compassionate woman, great listener, and wonderful cook.  She was famous for her spaghetti and sweet tea.  Roz was a true friend and confidant and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband Walter Dobruck, Dahlonega; daughter Marion Oppenheimer, Palm Harbor, FL; daughters and sons in law Cheri and Kenny Livernois, Tarpon Springs, FL; Vicky and Mark Drake, New Port Richey, FL; Theresa and Peter Ripa, Escondido, CA; Debbie and Gary Buchanan, Auburndale, FL; sons and daughters in law Mark and Angie Dobruck, Haines City, FL; J.R. and Faith Dobruck; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
