Mrs. Imogene Moore Caldwell, age 80, of Dahlonega, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017.

Mrs. Caldwell was born on October 17, 1937 to the late Carlos E. Moore and Louise Payton. She was also preceded in death by her husband Wilson Caldwell, step-father Esmond Payton, brother Glen Moore, and sister in law Louise Pullen. Mrs. Caldwell was a 1955 graduate of A.L. Miller High School in Macon. She retired as a Budget Analyst with the Navy Recruiting Command.  Mrs. Caldwell accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at age 12.  She was baptized and joined the Assembly of God church, but locally attended Mt. Gilead Baptist Church and Yahoola Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law Connie and Jeff Brown, Dahlonega; son and daughter in law David and Dawn Caldwell, Dahlonega; grandchildren Justin and Meredith Brown, Brandon and Nicole Brown, Whitney Brown, Dalton Caldwell; great grandchildren Andrew Brown, Jase Brown, Giovanni “Gio” Brown; sister Jeanette Leverette, Macon; step brothers and sisters in law Ron and Debra Payton and Jerrell Renee Payton, all of Lizella, GA; brother in law Bill Pullen, Gray, GA; brother and sister in law Bob and Frankie Caldwell, Dahlonega; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3 PM Sunday, December 3, 2017 in Yahoola Baptist Church. The Rev. Kris Butler, the Rev. Les Fuller, and the Rev. Terry Head will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
