Lumpkin County man charged with aggravated stalking

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Deputies from the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christopher Lee Ingram, 39, of Dahlonega, last week and charged him with aggravated stalking, a felony.

Deputies were called to 2992 Duffy Grizzle Road by Jerrell Lee Ingram, 66. Jerrell Ingram reported that the suspect was at the home in violation of a criminal bond and that he had locked himself in a bedroom.

Cpl. Frank Hughes and Sgt. John Simpson attempted to have Christopher Ingram unlock the door. When he refused, they received permission from Jerrell Ingram and kicked the door in and placed him under arrest.

As they were transporting him to the Lumpkin County Detention Center, the suspect began banging his head on the cage, splitting his forehead open. Lumpkin County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) was contacted. After they bandaged Ingram’s head, he was booked into the jail.
