BOLO released for burglary suspect in Lumpkin County

According to the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office, there has been a ‘Be On The Look Out’ (BOLO) released for a female suspect, after an attempted break-in.

Deputies responded to a call for a possible break-in the Pecks Mill Creek area on Friday, March 15. While trying to run from the scene, the female suspect swerved her vehicle towards a police officer, who then shot at the tire of the vehicle to prevent escape.

Investigators and police know who the suspect is and are currently are looking for her. The LCSO released a statement on their social media page, “A short time ago, deputies responded to the Pecks Mill Creek area on a possible burglary in
progress. Deputies confirmed while on location that the home is secured and we know who the suspect is.

You may see an increase in patrol units in the area. At this time, we do not believe anyone is in danger but just be aware and if you see anything suspicious, call 911. This is an ongoing investigation.
