They attacked an elderly man because he wore a MAGA cap. A self-proclaimed Antifa member firebombed a Homeland Security detention facility. These acts are the very definition of fascism.

      • I would suggest that the left be very careful how they react to this rally. Free speech is a right held by every citizen regardless of what they believe and there will be families and children there. Should they attack or hurt anyone there unprovoked by anything but a belief, well they could find themselves in a very negative position.

• uh, didn't Chester Doles go to jail for beating up a black man because he was part of an interracial couple? He also got convicted of burglary and beating up the people in the home he was stealing from. Like he's not an 'alleged' Klansman, the dude has literally described himself as one. What, are you gonna argue with the guy when he says he's a Klansman? 'Naw, man, you don't mean it'. The dude's been in jail for it. It's not the only time he's been in jail. If you got a proud criminal racist organizing your rally, that says something. And that something is ' criminal racists come to my rally'.

• As a resident of this region of Georgia I'd like to point out that hate groups are not welcomed here. Sure, they have a right to hold a rally like anyone else, but their views DO NOT reflect the views of the majority of resident who call the northeast foothills home.Please don't be ignorant and pretend that because these people are rallying for Trump that it in any way translates to him supporting their beliefs. On the obverse side of the coin, don't pretend that Antifa is antifascist. They are exactly like the KKK, a hate group that has no place in America. Both groups use the same tactics of intimidation, violence, and thuggery. Dahlonega is no place for either of these groups. You can either support the president or protest against him, but don't think for a hot second that you have any right to violate another citizen's right to free speech or their basic human right to believe whatever they want to believe (right or wrong). Agree to disagree because the alternative is leading us down a very dark road.
