Mrs. Janie Holman, age 78, of Dahlonega passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019.
Mrs. Holman was born in Crawfordville, GA on December 19, 1940 to the late Jimmie B. and Dona Frances Wilson Shealey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James M. Holman, daughter Jamie Holman, son James Holman, great-grandson Hunter Holman, and sister Marion Holbrook. Mrs. Holman was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Holman enjoyed her trips to the casino, ceramics, cross-word books, and the outdoors.
Survivors include her children Dona Holman, Dawsonville, Cynthia LaFrance, Dahlonega, Patty and Lewis Sullens, Dahlonega, and Patricia S. and James Lewis, Cedar Bluff, AL; grandchildren James “J.C.” Holman, Kimberly Holman, Alex Bowen, Jackson Sullens, Winston Scott, Gregory Scott, Wesley Scott, and Scarlet Scott; three great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law Carol and Carl Hudgins, Granbury, TX; brother Wesley Shealey, Jackson, TN; sisters Mikie Thomas, Eufaula, AL, and Rebecca Schmidt, Jackson, TN: several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, September 13, 2019 at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to the hour of the service at the funeral home.
