Peragine charged with battery, aggravated stalking

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Shaun Peragine, 40, was arrested last week and charged with battery and aggravated stalking.

Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to 83 Major D Drive in reference to a welfare check when they observed Tasha Chastain, 35, had two black eyes. Chastain told officers that she had fallen and hit her face but after further questioning she admitted she and Shaun Peragine had an argument and he struck her in the face and arms.

According to the arrest report, deputies observed numerous bruises on both her arms.

Peragine stated they did get into an argument but he did not hit Chastain.

Peragine was handcuffed and transported to the Lumpkin County Detention Center.
