Dahlonega man killed in single-vehicle accident on SR 60

LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga. — A Dahlonega man was killed in a single-vehicle accident yesterday (Nov. 25) on SR 60 near Anderson Drive.

According to the Georgia State Patrol accident report, Troopers from the Cumming Post were dispatched to the accident at approximately 5:45 a.m. where a 2007 Dodge Dakota pickup driven by 57-year-old Robert Lee Kukua, of Dahlonega, was traveling south on SR 60 Business.

The Dakota traveled off the road to the left onto the east shoulder. It then struck an embankment, overturned, and struck a tree. Mr. Kukua was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was the only occupant in the vehicle.
