The Lumpkin Co. Lady Indians (5-3-1, 3-0 Region 7-3A) defeated the North Hall Lady Trojans (2-3, 0-0 Region 7-3A) on the road on Tuesday night. Senior Hope Kenney had a hat trick to help lead her team to a 6-1 victory.

The first of Kenney’s goals came just three minutes into the game and was assisted by freshman Rae Lynn Meyers. North Hall tied the game by scoring about halfway through the first half. Kenney responded by scoring her second goal of the game as the Lady Indians took a 2-1 lead into halftime.

The second half started off slow, but junior Ashley Read scored the first goal of the half with 22 minutes remaining. Sophomore Reagan Spivey scored two goals in less than five minutes to extend the Lady Indians’ lead to 5-1. Kenney sealed the win with her third goal of the game with 14 minutes remaining, as Lumpkin Co. won the match 6-1.
The Lady Indians’ next game will be on Thursday, March 12th, as they travel to play at Fannin Co.
