William Taffar arrested for credit card theft


LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga. — A Cleveland man was arrested by the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office last week on charges of financial transaction card theft.
According to the incident report, the victim stated he had his credit card out paying bills when 36-year-old William Matthew Taffar visited. When Taffar left, the card was missing.
The victim stated the card had been used at multiple locations and charges totaled $200.
