Lumpkin Co. advances to second round of Kelly King Holiday Classic

The Lumpkin Co. Indians will advance to the second round of the Kelly King Holiday Classic, where they will face Lambert high school. The Indians were scheduled to play Cross Keys high school, but they forfeited the game.

Senior Chandler Pulley, who scored 17 points, shoots a 3-pointer.

Instead, the Indians faced off against the Mountain View Bears, who lost to Lambert 49-48 earlier in the day.

Lumpkin Co. lost to the Bears 67-58. The Indians were led in scoring by senior Gus Faulkner, who scored 22 points. Junior Jones Harris also scored 17 points, and senior Chandler Pulley chipped in 15 points.

Lumpkin Co. will host the Lambert Longhorns at 7 p.m. tomorrow with a championship berth on the line.
