The Lumpkin Co. Lady Indians defeated the Union Co. Lady Panthers 69-35 on Saturday night in Dahlonega.

The Lady Indians outworked the Lady Panthers the whole game, recording 16 steals and 11 offensive rebounds.

Lumpkin Co. was led in scoring by freshman Averie Jones who scored 22 points and had 6 assists and 5 steals. Senior Makenzie Caldwell also put up 15 points, and sophomore Mary Mullinax had 14 points and 6 assists.

The Lady Indians will travel to play the Lady Trojans at North Hall high school on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
