Carrollton woman charged with burglary

LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga. — Amanda Waldrep, 48, of Carrollton was arrested by the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office on May 7 and charged with forced entry burglary.

CORRECTION: According to the incident report, Deputy Nicholas Weathington met with Georgia State Patrol Trooper Heddin on May 7, who conducted a DUI investigation. Weathington then spoke to the complainant, Christine Brown, “who advised that she recognized Amanda as her aunt who has stolen from her before.” Christine was able to identify her property in the rear of Amanda’s car, including mail with Christine’s name on it. Christine also showed a window that had been newly broken and a door that had been pried open.” Deputy Weathington notified the on-call CID and turned the information over to Investigator Holtzclaw.
