Woman charged with cruelty to animals

LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga. — A 23-year-old Dawsonville woman has been charged with five counts of cruelty to animals after five deceased puppies were found in the home she rented at 43B Abis Circle in Dahlonega.

Animal Control Officer Tony Ashe was called to the residence by the landlord Owen Welch who advised Ashe that he entered the residence to inspect it as the rental agreement said he could. Owen then stated that once inside, he found multiple deceased puppies.
